Private dance lessons in Pretoria East

Book for yourself, learn together as a couple, prepare for your wedding dance, or form your own private friends’ group of up to six people. Your weekly slot is never opened to unrelated students.

Beginner studio · Bronze syllabus

Learn to dance well—without training like a competitor.

Duits Met My Dansstudio is designed for complete beginners, social dancers, couples and wedding couples. Lessons focus on the Bronze syllabus: the essential figures, timing, leading, following, posture and confidence you need to enjoy dancing socially.

This is not a competitive dance academy. We do not offer Silver or Gold syllabus coaching, professional competition preparation or advanced medal training.

The right fit if you want:Practical foundations, confidence, social dancing, couple connection or a comfortable wedding first dance.
Who the lessons are for

Individuals, couples and wedding couples are all welcome.

The teaching changes around your goals. The monthly price remains for the reserved slot—not the number of people attending.

1

Individuals

Your instructor works directly with you. Ideal for beginners, people rebuilding confidence and anyone who learns better without a group watching.

2

Couples & wedding couples

Learn to lead, follow and move comfortably together. Wedding couples can prepare for their first dance, while other couples can learn for socials, date nights or simply for fun. The R1 000 monthly price is for the couple’s slot—not per person.

6

Private friends’ groups

Form your own closed group of up to six people. The total remains R1 000 per month for the reserved weekly slot, and you decide among yourselves how to share the cost.

Not a public group class: the studio does not combine unrelated students. Your friends organise the group, choose who attends, and take responsibility for paying the full monthly slot fee.

  • Slow Waltz, Viennese/Quick Waltz, Tango and Foxtrot
  • Sokkie, Langarm, Boogie and West Coast Swing

  • Confidence for functions, cruises, parties and social events
What to expect

Your weekly half hour has a job.

Each lesson should move you forward—not fill time.

Set the goal

Tell the instructor where you want to feel more capable: socially, with a partner, at an event or simply for yourself.

Learn in manageable pieces

Steps, timing and movement are broken down clearly, then put back together until they feel natural.

Build consistency

Your reserved weekly time keeps momentum going and removes the usual “I’ll book again sometime” trap.

Start without committing blindly.

Your first 30-minute private lesson is R100 for new students.
